Last September 25, 2009, A diabetic mother gave birth to a baby boy that weighs 19.2 pounds (8.7 kilograms) from Indonesia. The baby was born by a cesarean section. The baby’s condition is called macrosomia wherein his weight and size are quite larger than normal, it is because of the excessive glucose from his mother. The Doctor said that the baby and mother are now in good condition.
Diabetic mothers should be aware that their condition is not to be taken for granted because they have higher risk of complications. Their babies may develop congenital abnormalities. So to avoid this from happening, you should now start in controlling your glucose intake and learn to live a healthy lifestyle.
