He told the policemen that he was been abused by his mother. He was kept inside his bedroom closet for 4 1/2 years. The policemen noticed that the boy has numerous scars all over his body. It was said that he was also malnourished. After the  boy was interviewed, the mother, 37-year-old LaRhonda Marie McCall, and a friend, 38-year-old Steve Vern Hamilton were arrested.
